In 2016 the Children’s Museum of Art and Social Justice (CMASJ) was established as a space for children’s voices and a resource for arts programming and education. CMASJ’s goal is to lessen the impact that budget cuts have on students at KIPP Chicago as well as other CPS schools. CMASJ supports this goal by raising awareness and ensuring financial sustainability for arts programming and education for Chicago’s children, while also giving students a platform for their voice and vision for addressing social issues and understanding social movements.
